Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Cutmirror: the mobile app where clients try haircuts on their own head and book a professional, and the web portal where barbers and stylists manage their business. By creating an account or using Cutmirror, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

01

The service

Cutmirror is a marketplace. Clients scan their head, preview hairstyles rendered by AI, and book appointments with independent barbers and stylists. Professionals list their services, set their prices and policies, and accept bookings.

Cutmirror is not a barbershop or salon. The professionals on the platform are independent businesses, not our employees, and they are solely responsible for the services they provide in the chair.

02

Your account

  • 01You must be at least 13 years old to use Cutmirror, and at least 18 to offer services as a professional.
  • 02You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • 03You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your sign-in email secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • 04Client accounts use the mobile app. The web portal is for professional accounts only.
03

AI try-ons and the feasibility read

Try-on previews are AI renderings, not photographs of a finished haircut. They are a visualization aid. The feasibility read (achievable now, needs growth, or not suitable) is an estimate based on your scan, not a guarantee.

The final result of any haircut depends on your hair, the professional's judgment, and the conversation in the chair. Cutmirror is not responsible for differences between a preview and a finished cut.

04

Bookings, payments, and fees

  • 01All Cutmirror bookings are paid through the platform. Payments are processed by Stripe; professionals receive payouts to their connected account.
  • 02Professionals set their own prices. Clients pay a small service fee on top of the listed price when they book. Cutmirror does not take a cut of the professional’s price or tips.
  • 03Professionals may require a deposit and set a cancellation policy. These are shown before you confirm a booking, and by booking you agree to them.
  • 04If you cancel inside a professional’s cancellation window or do not show up, the deposit or cancellation charge defined by their policy may apply.
  • 05Client subscriptions for AI try-ons are billed through the app stores and can be managed or cancelled in your store account settings.
  • 06Refunds for in-chair services are between you and the professional, consistent with their posted policy. Contact us if you believe a charge was made in error.

Terms for professionals

When you offer services on Cutmirror, you certify that you hold every license and permit your jurisdiction requires for those services, that the information you submit is accurate, and that you keep it current. Adding a license is optional. If you do add one, you certify it is valid, current, and yours.

Cutmirror does not independently verify professionals' credentials, except for the Verified badge: before a license earns that badge, we check the details you submit against your state board's public records. The badge reflects that one check and nothing more, it is not an endorsement, background check, or guarantee of the work performed. Misrepresenting a license or your eligibility to practice is grounds for immediate removal.

  • 01You are an independent business. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, pricing, and compliance with local law.
  • 02Keep your availability accurate. If you sync an external calendar, you are responsible for the events it contains.
  • 03Honor confirmed bookings. Repeated no-shows or cancellations by a professional may lead to removal from the platform.
  • 04Do not move Cutmirror-originated bookings or payments off the platform.
  • 05Payouts are handled through Stripe Connect and are subject to Stripe’s own terms.
06

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit: your scans, photos, portfolio images, notes, and reviews. You grant Cutmirror a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to run the service, for example rendering try-ons from your scan or showing a professional's portfolio to nearby clients.

You are responsible for your content. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not post content that is unlawful, deceptive, or abusive. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience.

07

Acceptable use

  • 01Do not scan or upload photos of another person without their consent.
  • 02Do not use the service to harass, threaten, or discriminate.
  • 03Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or its security.
  • 04Do not create accounts with false identities or circumvent a suspension.
  • 05Do not use Cutmirror for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may remove content that does.

08

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information, including your face scans. It is part of these terms.

09

Disclaimers

Cutmirror is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that previews will match results in the chair, that professionals will perform to your expectations, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cutmirror will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Cutmirror in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.

Services performed by professionals are their responsibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11

Termination

You can stop using Cutmirror and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that harms other users or the platform. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content license for completed transactions, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

12

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Cutmirror after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
